On October 15, 2026, organizers of the GoldenSky Country Music Festival announced the festival's return to Sacramento following a two-year hiatus, revealing a new artist lineup and a long-term commitment to the destination.
The festival will take place on October 9–10, 2027, at Discovery Park, featuring more than 20 performers across two days. Headliners include Zach Bryan, Megan Moroney and Treaty Oak Revival.
Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents in partnership with Visit Sacramento and local government, the festival is returning under a new agreement extending through 2029.
Organizers are introducing additional experiential attractions, including The Tailagate, a dedicated entertainment area featuring games and food vendors, alongside themed hospitality spaces and returning dance experiences.
According to Visit Sacramento, previous editions generated approximately $15 million annually in economic activity from visitors supporting local businesses.
The announcement highlights the importance of strategic partnerships between festival organizers, tourism authorities and local governments. GoldenSky's return also demonstrates how music festivals can strengthen destination marketing, support hospitality businesses and generate recurring economic benefits.
The expanded programme reflects the industry's increasing emphasis on immersive visitor experiences that extend beyond traditional live performances.
