On October 17, 2026, electronic music industry publication EDM House Network highlighted the latest developments surrounding SHIFT, a new independent electronic music label preparing for its international launch during Amsterdam Dance Event 2026.

Founded by music producers Guy Tolhurst and Grant Nichols of Nichols+Roark, SHIFT introduces an artist-development model focused on long-term creative partnerships rather than individual music releases.

The label released its debut compilation, Transmissions 001, on October 16, featuring tracks by Sonickraft, Nichols+Roark, Seizmic, N1NJA and Willis.

Its official international launch event will take place on October 22 at The Crane Faralda in Amsterdam, bringing together electronic music artists, industry professionals and international collaborators.

The event will feature performances by artists from several countries, including Brazil, Spain, Germany, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Rather than functioning exclusively as a traditional promotional party, the launch is designed to connect live performances with professional networking, artist development and collaborative opportunities.

SHIFT's approach reflects a broader trend in the music industry toward creating integrated ecosystems around artists, combining recorded music, live events, community engagement and business development.

The initiative also demonstrates the importance of major industry gatherings such as Amsterdam Dance Event as platforms for launching new entertainment businesses and developing international professional networks.
