On October 21, 2026, Samsung Electronics published a detailed presentation of its Design Is an Act of Love exhibition, currently taking place as part of Seoul Design Week 2026.
The exhibition opened on October 15 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza and will remain accessible through October 25.
Developed in collaboration with Italian design education institution POLI.design, the project brings together 14 teams of emerging Italian artists to explore relationships between technology, creativity and human-centered design.
The exhibition features 14 original artworks inspired by Samsung products, each presented on an OLED television integrated into a specially designed frame.
Rather than displaying technology exclusively as commercial equipment, the installation incorporates digital screens into artistic compositions, transforming consumer electronics into elements of a contemporary exhibition.
The participating artists explore themes of individuality, diversity and emotional connection through visual interpretations of familiar technological objects.
Visitors can also discover creative reinterpretations of smartphones, audio equipment and other electronic devices, presented within an environment designed to encourage interaction with contemporary design.
The project represents an example of how technology companies are increasingly using cultural events to communicate brand values through artistic collaboration rather than conventional advertising.
For event organizers and exhibition designers, the installation highlights opportunities to combine digital display technologies, immersive environments and curated artistic content.
It also demonstrates how international design festivals can facilitate partnerships between commercial brands, educational institutions and emerging creative professionals.
The collaboration between Korean technology specialists and Italian artists illustrates the role of cultural events in connecting creative industries across international markets.
