The Showman's Show 2026 Opens in the UK, Showcasing Sustainable Event Technology, Innovative Infrastructure and the Futu

On October 21, 2026, The Showman's Show 2026 opened at Newbury Showground in Berkshire, bringing together event organizers, festival producers, equipment manufacturers and technology providers for one of Europe's longest-established exhibitions dedicated to the outdoor events industry.

Running through October 22, the 42nd edition is expected to feature more than 300 exhibitors, including over 80 companies participating for the first time.

This year's exhibition places particular emphasis on sustainable event infrastructure, temporary power solutions, innovative staging systems and technologies designed to improve operational efficiency.

Among the featured innovations are solar-powered mobile stages, ultra-quiet generators, alternative energy systems and advanced climate-control equipment for temporary venues.

The exhibition also introduces its largest-ever purpose-built indoor hall, measuring 95 metres in length, alongside The Workspace, a new networking and meeting area designed to facilitate professional collaboration.

A major highlight of the opening day is the Sustainable Event Summit, taking place on October 21. The programme examines energy consumption, environmental responsibility and the industry's collective climate commitments.

Another important discussion addresses evolving safety regulations and operational responsibilities for outdoor event organizers, including the implications of the UK's Martyn's Law.

The exhibition also provides opportunities to explore developments in ticketing, rental management software, sanitation, accessibility and event logistics.

For event industry professionals, The Showman's Show offers a practical perspective on how sustainability, safety and technology are influencing the future of live event production.

Its combination of equipment demonstrations, professional discussions and supplier networking illustrates the growing importance of specialized exhibitions in helping organizers develop safer, more efficient and commercially sustainable events.
