On October 16, 2026, the sixth edition of the WIP Arts & Technology Festival 2026 is set to open in Nicosia, transforming the historic city centre into an international platform for digital art, scientific experimentation and creative innovation.

Running through October 25 under the theme Flows, the festival will present more than 50 artworks created by over 60 artists from 15 countries. Organized by the CYENS Centre of Excellence, the event explores connections between art, science and emerging technologies.

The programme combines interactive installations, experimental performances, audiovisual experiences, workshops, exhibitions and professional discussions. Opening-night activities include contemporary dance, electronic music performances and interactive artistic presentations across multiple venues.

This year's theme examines the movement of water, energy, information, cultural narratives and memories, encouraging visitors to explore how interconnected systems shape modern society.

Most festival activities are free, making experimental art and emerging technologies accessible to a broad public audience.

The festival demonstrates how interdisciplinary cultural events can connect scientific research with creative expression while revitalizing historic urban spaces. Its integration of international artistic collaboration, public engagement and technology-driven experiences offers an example of innovative cultural event programming.
