On October 15, 2026, the 14th edition of Signal Festival 2026 is scheduled to begin in Prague, transforming the city's historic architecture and public spaces into an international exhibition of contemporary digital art.

Running through October 18 under the theme Dream On! Dreams and Visions, the festival will feature 21 installations across 17 locations, combining architectural projection mapping, interactive light sculptures, immersive audiovisual experiences and experimental digital technologies.

For the first time, organizers are introducing a dedicated exhibition route through the Dejvice district, expanding the festival beyond its traditional city-centre locations.

International highlights include American artist Jim Campbell's Scattered Light, featuring 1,500 suspended LED lights, and Taiwanese artist Aka Chang's ten-metre-high laser installation above the Vltava River.

Ukrainian artist Svitlana Reinish will present a video-mapping installation on Prague's Old Town Hall, while Austrian artist Kurt Hentschläger will introduce an immersive experience combining darkness, light and sensory perception.

The programme also includes a new Student Visions zone, children's activities and professional discussions exploring the relationship between art and technology.

The festival demonstrates how cities can use digital art, historic architecture and interactive technologies to create distinctive cultural experiences. Its combination of free public installations and ticketed indoor exhibitions also provides an example of how cultural event organizers can balance accessibility with commercial sustainability.
