On November 3, 2026, organizers announced the first European edition of Matsuri: Japanese Music Experience, scheduled for December 14 at Outernet Live in London.

Presented by Music Way Project, the event will feature an all-female lineup comprising Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Otoboke Beaver and Hitsujibungaku. The programme brings together Japanese pop, punk and alternative rock, introducing different aspects of Japan's contemporary music scene to European audiences.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on November 6.

The launch follows growing international demand for Japanese music and performances by Japanese artists at major UK venues.

For the events industry, Matsuri demonstrates the potential of culturally focused music showcases to enter new international markets. Its concentrated, multi-artist format offers opportunities for cross-border promotion, audience development and partnerships between music promoters and international cultural communities.
