On October 31, 2026, EXIT Festival confirmed plans to return to Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia, with a special edition in July 2027 and a full-scale comeback planned for 2028.
The internationally recognized music festival was unable to hold its traditional Serbian edition in 2026 amid political and operational pressures.
During its absence, EXIT expanded internationally, organizing eight events across six countries, including its Starlight Festival at Egypt's Great Pyramids of Giza, which reportedly attracted 40,000 visitors from 114 countries.
The announcement highlights the importance of venue identity, international brand recognition and community loyalty in maintaining major festival brands through disruption.
