On October 29, 2026, newly released figures revealed that Venezuelan kinetic artist Jesús Rafael Soto's Pénétrable BBL Jaune installation attracted 18,300 visitors during its presentation at London's Serpentine Galleries.

The installation, part of the institution's summer Art in the Park programme, featured 4,000 yellow vinyl strands suspended from a ten-metre steel structure, allowing visitors to physically enter and interact with the artwork.

According to the exhibition's organizers, daily attendance reached as many as 4,000 visitors, making the installation one of the institution's most successful public sculpture presentations.

The project was developed through collaboration between cultural institutions, galleries and private sponsors, including Britannia Financial Group.

For cultural event organizers, its success demonstrates the audience appeal of participatory art, accessible public installations and experiential exhibition design that encourages visitors to become active participants rather than passive observers.
